You may notice a slight bias towards etnica/pleiadians.
its because they are musical fuckin' geniuses!!

The Gili's voyage (ketu remix)

i heard this song for the first time in my life last night.
apart from it being pure unadulterated oldskool etnica, it has to be one of the most psychedelic, madly sequenced songs i have ever heard.
EVER.
I now have the entire juggling alchemist album on mp3, and like the Pleiadians Idenified Flying Object album, its enough to give you religion after a few listens (or in the case of the above mentioned song, after the first 2 minutes)
so now im going to try hunt myself down an actual copy of the cd because its so good!

have been feeling extremely run down and crap of late, i really need a holiday and i dont think thats going to happen any time soon. if i can hold out till december and get some savings happening i could probably fly to a few doofs and live on LSD, cones, yummy vegetarian food and thumping psy for a few weeks.

or i could just de-rust and spraypaint my car and get a new set of tyres, which i think would be a much more responsible thing to do, as if i can manage to take good care of my car, i can DRIVE to any doof i like next year, and i certainly will!

so i guess its time to find myself a holiday job i can work at for a few days a week for about 4 months.

low phat cottage cheez

doing laps of my street at half past midnight, just because riceboy insists on parking out the front of my house.
i have woken some neighbours. oh well, thats what you get for parking your car out the front of a house where a volkswagen lives.
dont come complaining to me that cherry wakes you up at night.
the simplest solution is DONT PARK IN FRONT OF MY HOUSE you lazy dipshits.

glum

feeling very strange today
bored and lonely and glum
kinda feeling like im coming down, even though its been such a long time since ive had anything to come down off.
looking for tea and sympathy
and maybe a girlfriend. but i dont have time for that now
theres a few things i know im kidding myself about
and i really should just come out and say them
but if i do that, i may lose a very good friend
strange really, because last time i said what i felt i didnt lose a good friend.
i guess i cant shock the same person twice, could be just a bit too much to handle.
working alot, scared im going to lose my job if i dont go their way
scared i wont be able to live if i take the pay-cut
but glad that i would get paid holiday if i did.
its been almost 3 and a half years, i think i deserve a pay rise.
the strange fucked up times we live in.

reading reviews of Etnica's Chrome album on psynews.org

wouldnt let me post this there, so instead im going to post it here on the off chance that ppl who subscribe to that forum will read my opinions before i get a chance to post there.

Ive been into etnica for a long time now, and to tell you the truth, i like the way they are progressing with their music. each of their albums grows and is something similar but different to their last. I hear you all go on about how etnica is becoming techtrancey and how this album and nitrox suck... how you want the old etnica back... if you remember back to the equator album, you will notice that trip in transkei and resistance were hinting at these mechanical, minimal dark sounds so prevalent on nitrox and chrome. yes... the other tracks were more of the old melodic etnica, but thats exactly what it is OLD ETNICA! if you want to hear more of the old etnica, i suggest you go and buy some old etnica albums and EP's(some alien protein and some astral way/tribute). When i feel like melodic, i listen to old etnica, when i feel like dark minimal and mechanical, i listen to new etnica. If you really want that trippy sequenced layered goa sound, then try your hardest to get some pleiadians (just like i did)

I dont understand why its just a travesty with some of you that a band wants to change its sound, to move on and try something new.

Ive had the western edition of Chrome for just over a week now and its been a fun ride! I like it, its hard, its dark, its pounding and it makes me feel at one with the machine (is etnica moving into the realms of industrial sound? wouldnt it be amazing music if they did!!) This album just does not stop building up and up. i particularly like the tracks VCO (slow to build up, but once the samples kick in, and that headfucky funky breakdown... best listened to VERY loudly!), Are we safe? (some nice, driving beats and squelchy bits), Solaris (great sample from PI) and Traktor Activity (dark, atmospheric and very moveable!)
This whole album makes me stomp... open your minds and be at one with the machine!
