its a week of goodies for me!
firstly, recieved my funky big red retro desk lamp from ebay yesterday. I no longer need to keep my housemates awake with my ultrabright floor lamp when i need to study or sit online for the night... no.
i have this big PHAT retro red study lamp!!

and today... i now have in my possession, a copy of etnicas newest album - chrome.
talk about driving, dark squidgy psytrance!!

tommorow, or the day after, im expecting my copy of xenomorphs- qlippoth. no doubt it is going to be a heavy, morbid and eeeeeeevil psytrance album.

i think the next addition to my psy collection will be hux flux or wrecked machines... lets see.

momentus piece of text warning.

Whack another snag on the barbie, Shaz; a look at the plight of the Australian Bogan.

For those of you who may be reading this blog, and dont know what a bogan is, i will give some insight and helpful remarks on some topics and jargon that my momentus text will cover.

Firstly, a bogan is a person (male or female) who adopts the boganic lifestyle. This usually consists of, but is not confined to, dressing in a highly outdated fashion, smoking winfield blues, drinking alot of beer, having dinners consisting of baked beans and steak, having a circle of friends whose names all end in -zza, shouting alot in terribly slurred tones and working on your gemini so its ready for the summer nats.

now im not saying that people who drink alot of beer, or get their gemini ready for the summer nats are all bogans, no. Its a special combination of these activities, plus a few more obscure traits that all work together to produce what is lovingly known as a bogan...

so that i will have something to do in my morning lecture, I will start continue my momentus piece then.

long day @ work

8 and a half hour shift at work today... good thing its time and a half! just made my fortnightly rent + a bit.
sitting back relaxing with a cold beer, a fresh sandwich and some good tunes:D

I really hate fluffy mainstream floaty cheesy chordy hands-in-the-air these-pills-are-so-good trance.

i mean seriously, those pills are not good. ive had better pills than those pills and i still hate mainstream trance.
theres only so many times you can listen to the same chord progressions and "womp womp" sounds before they get really old. for me it was about 2 months.

id prefer to listen to yahel than shitty trance... and thats saying something!

hornets and migraines

its official, ive got this migraine i cant get rid of. had it last night and its not gone as of 1pm today.
so i can safely say im going to have a really shitty night.
new etnica album is making me feel better, but thats only because im happy to have it.
I was hoping to have a cone this morning and go to uni all floopy-like, but no. one codiene later and im passed out again till midday. with a headache that just wont piss off.
Ursula is going up the coast this weekend, im pretty jealous. shes going to get to see mum and dad and goo-goo. And go to the beach and stuff. and relax.
im going to work tonight and tommorow morning. yes... the money is good but i work so fucking much and its really draining me what with uni as well.
so if i finish work early enough tommorow im going to go to the museum, as its the big entymological symposium in brisbane this month, and you know what that means.
BUGS!!
LOTS OF BUGS!!!
bugs of all different shapes and sizes and colours, from all different parts of the world.
yes, im weird and i love bugs and spiders and insects of all kinds (well, except big cockroaches that fly around your kitchen in summer time and scuttle around your room at night, and also those huge locust-y grasshoppers that creep in thru your window in summer ans just stand there and not let you sleep for fear that they will jump on you... those barbs on their legs dont feel very good when they rip your skin!)
and so i should, they are the dominant multicellular animalian life form on this planet after all. you really cant get over just how amazing bugs are.
and next month, i shall be excited about something again... BUGS!
lots of bugs!! after all, they are the dominant car-form on this planet and its been ages since ive gone to a show!
how can you resist a field full of beetles, kombis, type 3's and golfs? its impossible i tell you.
hmmm off the topic there i think.
in other news, i got a hornet in my hair this today. it didnt sting me but i didnt like it very much. its not cool when you cant fetch your mail without getting honets in your hair.

i must say that oldskool etnica was much more complex in its sounds than new etnica, either way, etnica absolutely rocks!!!

im VERY annoyed with the lack of accelerator cables.
im VERY annoyed that i had to get greasy more than once today.
im EXTREMELY annoyed that lack of cables has prevented me from going to work and so i must take extra shifts next week, and work really late tommorow.

the dominator

i have just heard the B-side to etnica's Polar EP (the A-side of which is "mind altering drugs" - one of my FAVE tracks!!)
called "the dominator" and now that i have, i want the vinyl even more... if anyone is reading this and has that vinyl... please be aware that i would almost kill to get it. Almost.
I'd probably subject you to the most kinky tortures you could ever dream of and that way you would just give me the damn thing out of sheer pleasure.

eating loads of garlic, drinking 2 litres of juice and large quantities of asprin. I hope this doesnt last long because i hate feeling this way. staying home today because i dont like to share the love around, plus jyames is making dinner and we all know how good THAT is!!

everything i need to know about life i get by killing smart people and eating their brains.

lots of brain physiology @ uni today.
ive got brains on my mind.
it would be interesting to speak with an IT expert with a particular knowledge of processors, and discover the parallels between the human brain and the CPU. i would imagine its not all that different deep down.

have been printing out great A4 size photos with my printer and scanner. they turn out awesome!!
i should attach a few photos to this blog when i have some time. I REALLY need photoshop. i hope ive got enuf $$ left from my tax return after i take my car in for a service to buy the edu. version.

ive got a mac and a digitizer and no photoshop. Tragic, i know.
